Privacy

We keep what the game needs. Nothing more.

FomoTap has no passwords and no email sign-up. Here is everything we store about you, why, and what is public.

01

What we store

  • Identity: the Fomo @handle you link, your avatar colour, and optionally the Fomo profile link you paste.
  • Prize wallet: the Fomo EVM address you declare, used only to pay prizes and to read token balances for rounds that require holding a token.
  • Entries: which matches you entered, whether you qualified, and any thesis link you submit. We never copy or store the text of Fomo posts.
  • Gameplay: your processed taps (sequence, timing, grade), connection quality (round-trip time), results, statistics and rating.
  • Fraud signals: automation and anomaly flags on inputs, and a salted hash of your IP address when you arrive through an invite link (to stop self-referrals). The raw IP isn't stored.
  • Preferences: key binding, sound, reduced motion and high-contrast settings, if you save them.
02

What we never ask for

Your Fomo password, private keys, recovery phrases, or any login to Fomo. FomoTap doesn't read your Fomo account and doesn't scrape fomo.family.

03

Cookies

  • ft_sid — remembers your linked identity on this device (signed, up to 180 days).
  • ft_ref — remembers which invite link you opened first (30 days), so your recruiter gets credit.
  • No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
04

What is public

Your @handle, avatar colour, profile statistics, results, replays and leaderboard positions are public — that's the game. Your wallet address isn't shown on FomoTap pages, but prize payouts are on-chain transactions that anyone can inspect.

05

Keeping and deleting

Match results, replays and fair-play proofs are kept so past matches stay verifiable. You can sign out on any device at any time. To have your identity unlinked and your profile removed from leaderboards, contact the FomoTap team through its official channels. Signed results of past matches stay as they are, because other players' verifiable records depend on them.
